on purpose and meanings.

So according to the “how to start a blog” snippets I read here and there on the internet, before starting the blog-creating process, a prospective blogger should have a passion identified, a “niche” to which my blog will concentrate on… Welp, if my blog/domain name doesn’t sum it up for ya, let me explain further… My purpose here is multifold: I was looking for a place where to pour my day-to-day happenings; to visualize it, have it stare back at me and in a way help process these day to day experiences. Sure, let’s just say it, in a sort of therapeutic kind of way (here’s the first hint into what I do for a living)… And I guess a journal would have done the trick, but a blog certainly sounded oh so much more fun! The other purpose is to force me to think about the things that occur on a “typical day” basis, as insignificant as they could seem, and just find the lesson in them.  I’ve come to learn there’s lessons in everything we experience, EVERYTHING. I also wanted to keep track and later go back to these events that I’ll choose to write about, as I often have moments of “ugh what was that one thing that happened that taught me something important about what’s happening now?”. And lastly (maybe not really lastly, I’m sure there’s more), being a full time “all of the above” can be such a juggle, often leaving little time for the person handling “all of the above”, and yet there’s often a little voice saying “I want to do more”. My final hope is that some lessons of prioritizing can come out of this for me, so that there could be room for more, and maybe learn some important “pruning out” of others…

in other [shorter] words, the motivation behind this blog is some much needed self-care!

DISCLAIMER: by no means am I claiming my life is super exciting or interesting or full of a-ha moments at all times… But I will argue that my life is eventful, just as anyone else’s (by assumption), at least in the way I define it. And there’s lessons. RICH lessons that give those events a “BIGGER-PICTURE” meaning in my life. Ok, enough philosophy, I’m excited to get started!
